Reporting & monitoring

Validation tells you the bill is wrong. Reporting tells you the estate is drifting.

Every invoice we process adds to a picture of how your estate actually consumes. After a few cycles, that picture answers questions you previously had no way to ask.

What you get

Site and meter hierarchy

Your estate structured the way you actually manage it — region, site, building, meter — so a number can always be traced back to the invoice it came from.

Consumption and spend

By site, by meter, by utility, by period. Against the same period last year, and against budget where you have one.

League tables

Sites ranked by consumption intensity rather than raw total, so a large site is not permanently flagged for being large. The outliers are the point.

Out-of-hours usage

Where interval data is available, what the estate draws when it should be closed. This is where avoidable consumption usually hides.

Anomaly detection

Consumption that moved without a reason, flagged automatically against each meter's own history rather than a generic benchmark.

Exception register

Every issue raised, when, with whom, what evidence went with it, and how it was resolved. A record you can hand to audit.

Built for the person who signs it off

Most energy reporting is built for energy managers. Most estates in this market do not have one — utility cost sits with finance, or with facilities, alongside a dozen other responsibilities.

So reporting is built around the questions that person is actually asked: what did we spend, why is it different from last quarter, which sites are the problem, and what is being done about them. The detailed data is underneath if you want it. It is not the first screen.

A note on interval data. The richest reporting — out-of-hours profiling, demand analysis, load shape — depends on interval consumption data, and access to that is not guaranteed for every account in this market. We will tell you what is available for your meters before we describe what the reporting will show, rather than after.

The case that doesn't depend on finding errors

It is worth saying plainly: even if we never found a single billing error on your estate, the reporting would still be doing work. Reconciliation stops being manual. Anomalies surface in weeks rather than at year end. Budgeting is based on your own trend data rather than last year plus a percentage. Audit gets a clean trail.

That is the part of this we are confident about, because it does not rest on an assumption about how utilities behave.

A handful of sites and a few months of history is enough to build a working view you can judge properly.
